I’ve had a couple of people call me already in Timperley and Sale about their computer starting up and them being unable to do anything because of a Metropolitan Police warning screen. It is a scam. You have had your computer infected with malware. You do not, indeed you should not pay this.
It is simple to fix. Please contact me if you are not comfortable restoring your computer in order to fix this issue.
How did I get this Metropolitan Police warning scam?
Most likely through a pop-up window from a site you did not intend to visit. I would guess that you are using Internet Explorer?
